Both candidates in the race for the 23rd Congressional District picked up endorsements. Republican nominee Matt Doheny got the support of former New York State Governor George Pataki. The former governor and head of Revere America made his endorsement of Doheny public earlier in the week at Plattsburgh City hall. Not to be outdone, Democratic incumbent Bill Owens got the endorsement of gubernatorial candidate and Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in Cazenovia. Cuomo made the announcement while at one his campaign stops while in Central New York and the Mohawk Valley.
