Testimony To Continue In Jones' Murder Trial

Testimony in the Alan Jones' murder trial is set to continue today. On Wednesday both sides gave their opening arguments, and Jones' Defense Attorney Sal Lanza attempted to request a mistrial. Jurors heard testimony from one of the three witnesses with the Palermo fire Department who found eleven-year-old Erin Maxwell unresponsive on August 29 of 2008. Jones was arrested after an autopsy conducted on Maxwell showed she died from asphyxia and suffered sexual trauma which contributed to her death. Twenty-seven-year-old Alan Jones is facing 25 years to life in prison if he's found guilty of killing his stepsister.
