State police have arrested a Gouverneur man in connection with an alleged rape. Authorities arrested 41 year old Michael Simmons on Tuesday, charging him with first degree rape, first degree unlawful imprisonment, and second degree assault. No other details were released by authorities in connection with the alleged incident which remains under investigation. Simmons was arraigned in Town of Rossie Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.
