A Glenfield man was charged with aggravated DWI Saturday after allegedly doing quite a bit of drinking before getting behind the wheel. 23-year-old Matthew Payne was pulled over early Saturday morning in the Town of Martinsburg, and upon questioning him authorities detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Payne proceeded to fail several field sobriety tests; he was then transproted to the Lewis County Public Safety Building where he registered a .18% BAC. Payne was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI and failure to keep right. He will answer the charges in the Town of Martinsburg Court at a later date.
