A Ft. Drum soldier has died of combat injuries suffered in Afghanistan. The Department of Defense says 34 year old Sgt. First Class Charles Sadell died Sunday at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland of wounds suffered earlier this month when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive devise. Sadell was a native of Colombia, Missouri. He was assigned with the 1st Squadron, 71st Calvary Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team.
